Tuesday night's basketball game will be Law Enforcement Appreciation Night. During the game, we will be conducting a fundraiser for Zac Andry and his family. Please join us to show your support for local law enforcement and bring some extra dollars for our fundraiser.

The West Washington School Corporation will be closed tomorrow, Monday February 17th, and utilize a SYNCHRONOUS virtual day. The drifting of snow is prominent in many areas. In several locations water is partially or completely covering the road. Those areas will be frozen by morning.
Students are expected to join virtual instruction after 10 AM.
WWSC will operate on a regular schedule Thursday February 13th.

An unexpected downpour of snow has blanketed a portion of our corporation.
Temperatures are not expected to rise above freezing until after 10 AM, therefore a delay will not be sufficient.
After school activities will be decided by 2 PM. Road conditions are expected to improve drastically as temperatures rise above 40 degrees. Unless announced otherwise all after school events will proceed as scheduled.
WWSC will operate on a NORMAL SCHEDULE today, Tuesday February 11, 2025.
Predicted snowfall amounts and timing should make travel to school safe. Temperatures just below or at freezing during the morning and above freezing in the afternoon should maintain safe road conditions.
Student drivers, please be careful and use extra caution at bridges and overpasses.
The West Washington School Corporation would like to thank Kimball Office Salem for their generous donation of two hydraulic floor cranes. As soon as they were dropped off in our Diesel Services classroom they were assembled and put to use.

The West Washington School Corporation will return to a regular schedule tomorrow, Monday 2/3/25. We will evaluate the effectiveness of our closure and calculate our attendance in each building. We are hopeful to remain in school and on schedule.
The elementary robotics team competed at Parkview in Bedford today. They excelled and scored 20th out of 32 teams. Their attitudes and kindness shown through and were complimented by several of the adults. We are so proud of them for a tremendous season!
WWSC will be on a Virtual Schedule tomorrow, Friday January 31, 2025.
We are experiencing a very high number of students out due to illness. We passed the threshold of less than 80% attendance in both the elementary school and Jr/Sr high school that requires us to contact our local department of health and the state department of health. In the Jr/Sr high school we have more than 30% of our students out due to illness.
We will be in physical attendance Monday and we will evaluate attendance percentages at that time. We are hopeful that this will stop the spread and allow our staff and students to heal over the weekend.
We have experienced a high level of illness at school. Many have reported back that they tested positive for Flu A.
Please monitor the health of your child and do not send them to school sick. Students with a fever need to be fever free for 24 hours without medication before returning.
