Next week the West Washington School App will undergo an update that will improve ROOMS.
When you open the school app if will prompt you to update. Your ROOMS messages will now appear in a stream like format. We are excited about this new feature. The update should also clear up some notification errors that we have been experiencing.
ROOMS is the communication piece our teachers and coaches utilize to send direct messages to parents and students. It also allows parents and students to communicate back with West Washington staff.

With all this weather it is hard to keep up with athletics and ECA cancellations, UNLESS you have an EventLink account and then the messages come straight to your phone and email. If you don't have an account, set one up today.

WWSC will be closed on Wednesday January 8, 2025.
After hours of driving, we believe it is in the best interest of safety to cancel tomorrow. I am sorry for those gearing up to return. We were hopeful to get kids in tomorrow, but an extensive look at roads make it unadvisable.
Our county roads are a mixed bag or great condition, fair condition, and poor condition. Our county crews have done a tremendous job and worked a lot of hours to get roads to this point. However, some areas are only one vehicle wide. We encountered oncoming traffic and when making room it is very easy to be drawn into the ditch and we had trouble in four wheel drive multiple times.
I have a lot faith in our bus drivers, but on several routes the large vehicle would encounter major issues if they encountered oncoming traffic. For that reason, we will be closed.
This will be another SNOW DAY and there will be no virtual classes. There are multiple ways to make up this day and we will make that decision in the coming weeks. Fingers crossed for a two hour delay start on Thursday.
WWSC will be closed on Monday 1/6/25.
There will be no school, no after school or extracurricular activities and there will NOT be a virtual day. This SNOW DAY will be made up on January 20th.
At this time we are calling for a 2 hour delay on Tuesday for planning purposes. This will be re-evaluated tomorrow and if a cancellation is necessary it will be upgraded to a SNOW DAY.
The only homework is to go out and enjoy the SNOW DAY and post your pictures playing in the snow!

WWSC will be on a 2 hour delay Tuesday 12/3/24. Elevated areas and shaded areas refroze with the rapidly dropping temperatures and a light dusting on top has caused numerous slick spots.
The delay will allow for increased visibility and ensure drivers can see approaching hazards and take the appropriate caution.
