IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
Due to the restrictions set by our state government regarding public assemblies at this time, our 3rd Music Program that was scheduled for April 8th has been cancelled. Unfortunately, it will not be rescheduled. I am very disappointed that we will not be able to have this program. However, I know this is in the best interest for our students and the community. Students, thank you for how hard you have worked on this performance. I will make sure the 3rd class will have the opportunity to perform for their families in the next school year.

If you attended the FFA Community Breakfast please monitor yourself for symptoms. This Saturday will be 14 days removed from the event.
I just completed my 2020 Census & it only took 5 minutes.
The Census is important to our state & community. Federal funding, representation & more are decided by the Census Data.

Remote Learning Schedule & Meal Delivery schedule for 3/30/20-4/1/20.
WWSC will be utilizing Remote Learning the week following Spring Break 3/30/20-4/3/20. Governor Holcomb has directed all schools to close through 5/1/20. The schedule moving forward will be continually updated.
Meal Delivery Update-
Thursday 3/19/20 (tomorrow) we will deliver 2 days worth of meals. This will be the last delivery unless we close following spring break. It is also the last opportunity for us to deliver materials or assignments.
Anyone that wants added to the Meal Delivery List or needs assignments delivered needs to call the Sup's Office by NOON TODAY or you will not get a delivery. 812-755-4872
There will be NO deliveries over spring break (3/23-2/27).

A message from the WC Health Dept about Covid-19.
WWSC: CLOSED- ESSENTIAL STAFF ONLY immediately.
This is due to the reported case in FC & the decision to limit restaurants to drive thru/carryout services only made by the state of IN.
NO PRACTICES for any school sponsored event or groups that utilizes WWSC Facilities.
The WWSC School Board will hold an emergency meeting tonight 3/16/20.

WWSC will be CLOSED TO STUDENTS the week of 3/16-3/20.
Spring Break will be the week of 3/23-3/27.
A decision about future closures will be communicated immediately following the decision being made.
Information about remote learning will be shared on Monday morning. Students can check their Google Classrooms for updates, assignments and activities.

WWSC will provide food service to those that call and request it. We are not sure exactly what this will look like yet. You may call the Superintendent's Office on Monday to be added on a list. More details will follow about food service. Superintendent's Office 812-755-4872.
*There was NO communication or guidance from the federal, state or local levels to cancel school. No information from the Governor's memo or CDC had changed since 3/12/20. The leadership team and school board made the decision after collecting all relevant data and waiting for the officials that are charged with public health and safety to make a determination. That determination never came. Therefore, we made a decision to err on the side of caution.
WWSC board and leadership will meet again following the press conference scheduled for 3 PM by the President and follow up releases by the state. This is a fluid situation and no decision is set in stone.
