The West Washington (WW) Football 2025 season has come to a close. The team fell to Knightstown in round one of sectional and ended the season with a 5- 5 record.

After the game ended, the seniors and coaches took one last walk together on the football field. “There is no doubt it is always emotional. There is a mix of heartbreak and pride.  You feel the sting of it ending, but also the gratitude for the work, growth, and memories created,” WW head coach Jeremy Lowery said.

This season, the team has been grateful for the community support. There has also been a huge resurgence of the WW Spirit Club. Toward the end of the season, they were filling up the student section and even drove a fan bus to the last game. “Our parents, fans, and community have been incredible. The love and support for our players all season long is special and means a lot. Our team is proud to represent a community that stands behind us the way West Washington does,” Lowery said.

As the football coaching staff looks to the future, they are excited about the number of athletes coming up. “Next year’s team has a lot to be excited about. We will return a strong group of players with valuable experience. Our senior class has laid a foundation we can build on, and the number of kids involved in the program is outstanding. From our youth league to junior high, along with the high school program, we will have great depth that will create real competition and development. The goal now is to take the next step. It is time to compete and win against top-tier teams, not just the ones we are expected to beat. With hard work, leadership, and community support, I am confident the 2026 team will be ready to raise the standard and keep the program moving forward,” Lowery said.
