We are thrilled to celebrate Callie Morrow, who has been named the 2026 Indiana Supportive Staff of the Year by the Indiana School Counseling Association! This honor is a true reflection of Callie’s incredible dedication, compassion, and impact on West Washington.
In just three short years with us, Callie has become an essential part of our school community. She is the heart of the counseling office—supporting two counselors, a licensed therapist, and an intern—while keeping everything running smoothly and efficiently. Whether she’s juggling five projects at once, organizing resources for students, or anticipating needs before anyone asks, Callie brings professionalism and heart to every task.
One of her most impressive contributions has been creating and managing the Senator Seminar program, a weekly initiative that provides incentives, remediation, and enrichment opportunities for students. From running reports to scheduling and tracking attendance, Callie designed and maintains the system that makes this complex program possible for our entire school.
But her impact goes far beyond the office. Callie leads efforts to provide basic needs support for students—coordinating food boxes, clothing, hygiene products, and more. She also spearheads holiday assistance, ensuring families in need receive meals and gifts. This past year alone, thanks to her organization and dedication, 112 families received Christmas presents and 75 families received holiday meals. Her compassion has truly brightened the lives of countless students and families.
Callie also gives her time as a junior class sponsor, working long evenings at concessions and helping organize one of the largest proms in school history. On top of all this, she still finds time to cheer on her children, Laura (1st grade) and Elijah (5th grade), who are active in many school activities.
What makes Callie so special is not just her hard work, but her spirit. Students trust her, staff depend on her, and the entire community benefits from her energy, kindness, and dedication. As one colleague put it: “Our students’ days are brighter because of her. Our office is a better and happier place because of Callie. We are lucky to have her.”
Congratulations, Callie! Your work inspires us all.
