Senator Football

West Washington Football (WW) beat Eastern 39-0 in their season opener!

“There were a number of things our kids did well on Friday. First and foremost, we played physical football; our tackling and the way we finished blocks were impressive for this early in the season. Defensively, securing the shutout was huge. We were very disciplined in our scheme recognition and pursuit angles. Our special teams units also played great and made a real impact on the outcome,” head coach Jeremy Lowery said.

As the Senators move forward, they want to work on consistency when they are on offense. “We did some things really well, but we’re going to need to execute better to sustain drives moving forward,” Lowery said.

This week, the Senators are preparing for a big test.

“This Friday, we play Tell City. They’re coming off an impressive win against Perry Central. They have a strong defensive front, an explosive running quarterback, and do a nice job on special teams,” Lowery said.
