Staff Spotlight

West Washington is proud to introduce our new In-School (ISD) monitor, Owen Wykoff. Alongside his wife Sara and their three kids, Finn, Sawyer, and Josie, the Wykoff family relocated from Colorado to Indiana two years ago.

Guiding Students Back on Track: In his role as the ISD monitor, Mr. Wykoff plays a crucial part in building relationships with students and helping them find their way back to the path of learning. “My role at West Washington is to monitor the In-School Detention (ISD) program. As the ISD monitor, I get to connect and listen to students in order to get them back on track in the classroom doing what they do best, learning!” explained Mr. Wykoff.

Community Spirit at West Washington: Mr. Wykoff has been impressed by the school's ability to rally its community around education. He admires the dedication of the staff and the support of the larger community, reflecting the school's commitment to its students. "The impression I took of the people and facilities here at West Washington was that they are outstanding! Never before have I seen camaraderie amongst students like I have seen here at West Washington, and never before have I seen a staff as professional and dedicated to a common goal! This school rocks," stated Mr. Wykoff.
