Staff Spotlight

If you frequent West Washington extracurricular events, then you have probably met Jackie Trueblood. Jackie has worked for West Washington for nine years serving as the Extra Curricular Treasurer. This job consists of taking care of all monies that come in from athletics, clubs, fundraisers, etc. However, when you meet Jackie you quickly realize that this is more than just a job. “West Washington is very, very special to me since I went here from Kindergarten until I graduated. There are alot of very special people to me here that make coming to work easy. I love my job,” explained Jackie.

Jackie’s work ethic and love for her school is easy to recognize. “Jackie is a major help to the Athletic Department and to me as an AD. She does all the behind the scenes, such as getting money boxes, making programs for all the teams, and getting rosters for the games. Jackie loves athletics and it shows in the effort that she puts forth in helping to make sure everything goes smoothly,” said West Washington Athletic Director, Darrin Russell.

Everyone that works with Jackie is quick to mention her positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond.  "Jackie is greatly appreciated for all she brings to her job along with her great sense of humor. Jackie is very caring and takes an interest in students and staff to ensure their daily experience at West Washington is a positive one. I appreciate how she is always willing to assist me even though her job description is ECA Treasurer this is just who she is. She is willing to serve in any capacity," noted West Washington High School Principal, Dr. Angela Girgis.

When you ask people about Jackie, the common thread is her passion to help others. “I can't say enough about Jackie as a person and what she brings to the table for our school. Jackie can be seen at just about every extracurricular activity and goes above and beyond to provide help and support to all of our programs. Her incredible sense of humor and smile makes everyone’s day a little brighter. She is a selfless person who truly loves our school and community and it shows in her work,” shared Head Football Coach, Jeremy Lowery.

Jackie is married to Michael Trueblood and they have five wonderful sons, four daughter-in-laws, and six grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies.
