“We are proud of our current seniors who scored above state proficiency last year on the SAT. Even though these scores are widely used for college admissions, we prepare our students to be successful in utilizing and applying higher-order thinking skills in the math and evidence-based reading and writing portions. Our 8th-grade students also surpassed state proficiency in the ELA portion of the ILEARN testing. Our teachers work diligently to prepare our students for state-mandated tests, AP, Dual Credit, and all other courses with skills and knowledge that will be applicable to whatever our students choose to pursue upon graduation from West Washington. Our Early College program is another focal point of student-centered education. No matter the career path, West Washington takes great pride in knowing we are launching college and career-ready students.” - Dr. Angela Girgis, High School Principal

The academic success for West Washington is embedded in our student body at an early age. West Washington Elementary School exudes high achievement. WWES has maintained a State Grade of “A” since the 2017-18 school year. Additionally in the 2022-23 school year, WWES ranked among the best in the area and state when it comes to iLearn and iRead results. These results prove that WWES prioritizes preparing students for future achievement.

“West Washington Elementary is known for being a small family-oriented school that takes pride in its academic achievements. WWES believes that students perform better academically when they are involved in extracurricular activities, so we offer the students the opportunity to be involved in Math Bowl, Robotics Team, Drama Club, along with numerous athletic teams.  These activities and more are just some of the aspects that make the environment fun, engaging, and family-like.  With the combination of small class size (12:1 student to adult ratio) and caring, committed staff, students are supported through more than just academics. This unique programming, along with us ranking among the best in the area in iLearn and iRead, places WWES in the forefront for academic achievement.” - Tom Rosenbaum, WWES Principal
