The pride for West Washington schools is certainly apparent when you hear the staff and students talk about their experiences.
\r\n“Over the past decade, West Washington has continued to evolve as a center of education committed to seeking paths of success for every student. It has been a privilege to be part of the growth of dual credit and AP offerings in academic courses, CTE programs, and CDL certification. In addition, we have added classes like Piano, Guitar, and American Sign Language as a World Language, all taught by teachers in person. We host teachers and programs that have been recognized on the state and national level. As a teacher at West Washington, I am fiercely proud of what we have accomplished on behalf of every student and embrace our dedication to continue growth.” - John Harkness, High School Mathematics and Science Teacher
\r\nWest Washington’s commitment to excellence does not stop in the classroom. Our Senator students are encouraged to enhance their overall educational experience by participating in our robust offerings of extracurricular activities. Whether it is FFA, drama club, BPA, or championship level athletic programs, West Washington promotes the total student experience.
\r\n“West Washington is a great school with a great environment. Going to West Washington allows me to excel in my academics because of the amazing teachers, while also excelling in sports because of the great coaches.” - Kenton Chase, Senior student

\r\n“Our experience moving to West Washington Jr/Sr High School has been better than I ever expected. As a parent, I was worried about my children changing schools in the 10th and 7th grade and how they would adjust academically, to making new friends, and continuing their school sports. However, the inviting atmosphere from the staff, students, parents, and coaches has been amazing. Our children are continuing to excel and enjoy school!” - Stacy McCrary, Parent
\r\n“When I moved to West Washington and went to the first football practice, I felt like I belonged there. All the kids welcomed me and I made friends quicker than ever. Then on the first day of school, I realized how nice it was and the environment there really made me want to go to school. I really have enjoyed the first couple of weeks I have been at West Washington and can’t wait for the next few years of high school.” - Gavin Hunt, Sophomore student
\r\n“The reason I am enjoying my move to West Washington is the fact that everyone is so friendly and nice. I am impressed that West Washington has incentives for students who make good grades and have good behavior.” - Olivia Duchemin, 7th grade student
\r\n“Deciding to move our son to West Washington during his high school years would not have been possible without open enrollment. The transition into the West Washington school community has been seamless. From the Administration, teachers and staff to the parents, we have been welcomed and can see the excitement they have for their school. West Washington consistently states #WWeGrowCommunity, Success, Opportunity, Commitment, Talent, Spirit, Champions, Excitement and Role Models. In our short time with West Washington, we have experienced first-hand that they live up to these words and have created a positive environment where kids can thrive and grow into successful young adults.” - Tara Coats Hunt, Parent
