West Washington High School student Alton Lundergan has been a Boy Scout since the 1st Grade. So when he had to choose his Eagle Scout project it just made sense to do it at school.
Alton chose to add to the campus by building a set of benches for the school's outdoor classroom. Planning for the project began last spring and he completed the project over the summer in time for everyone to enjoy the benches when school started.
The benches are a welcome addition to the space. Teachers often take students out for activities and the additional seating will be used frequently.
