It is very exciting to see our students grow and learn from Kindergarten all the way until they graduate as Seniors. But the reward doesn’t stop there.
When they leave school to pursue their individuals lives and dreams it is extremely satisfying to see their successes, knowing that they carry a little bit West Washington with them wherever they go.
Shelby Springer and Nick Burks were recently highlighted in The Franklin College Magazine.
Shelby is currently studying abroad as part of a Franklin College Program, she is one of fourteen students at Franklin studying abroad this semester. Shelby is a guest studying at Edinburgh Napier University in Edinburgh Scotland. While she is abroad she will be taking a Consumer Behavior course, Scottish Culture and Society course, and Wine Studies. She will be in Scotland for the full semester (Jan 3- May 15).
Nick is a graduate of West Washington and Franklin working at Big Brother’s Big Sister’s Marion County. Nick recently added to his young family with the birth of his son Grady Matthew. We hope to want to attract Nick and his family back to our West Washington Community.
