Meet Our New Life Skills Teacher: We are thrilled to introduce our newest addition to the West Washington family, Mrs. Sarah Bryson. With a wealth of experience and passion, Mrs. Bryson joins us as the High School Life Skills teacher, bringing dedication, compassion, and a vision for student success.

Family: Mrs. Bryson lives on a farm in Pekin, Indiana with her husband Jeff and their three children Logan, Abigail, and Killian. Their farm is full of activity and rural charm housing goats, pigs, rabbits, ducks and chickens.

A Passion for Empowerment: In her role as the High School Life Skills teacher, Mrs. Bryson is dedicated to unlocking the potential within each of her students. “It is my belief that all students have the potential to succeed, and what that looks like will be different for every student. My ultimate goal, for all of the student's in the Life Skills classroom, is for them to become as independent as possible and to self-advocate to the best of their abilities,” explained Mrs Bryson.

Experience: Mrs. Bryson brings a diverse background to her new role, having previously managed a homeless shelter with a focus on housing families. For the past 11 years, she has been involved in special education, serving as an intensive interventionist before transitioning into teaching. Her experience spans across elementary, middle, and high school levels with significant contributions to the West Clark and Silver Creek communities.

Beyond the Classroom: “My husband and I love attending concerts. A couple of years ago I had the opportunity to attend a concert from one of my all-time favorite bands, Counting Crows. It was a bucket-list concert I can now cross off after having been a fan for nearly 30 years! Other recent favorites have included Ruston Kelly, The Avett Brothers, and Kaleo. I am also a huge true crime fan, who can be seen listening to podcasts or watching Investigation Discovery most days. I love reading and watching thriller/suspense/horror novels and movies, although my own imagination has a far greater ability to scare me than most of what can be seen on screen!” stated Mrs. Bryson.

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Bryson to the West Washington family! Her dedication, warmth, and commitment to student success makes her an invaluable addition to our team.
