Staff Spotlight

West Washington would like to feature WWES teacher, Mrs. Angela Record.  Angela was added to our elementary staff this year to teach the 1st grade. Angela might be new as a teacher, however, she is very familiar with West Washington schools and our community. “I was attracted to West Washington because of the friendliness of the staff, academics, athletics, and because of the involvement my family has with the school,”  explained Angela.

Angela and her family are very actively involved in the West Washington community and she loves supporting her students and family. “I have 4 children that attend West Washington. Trenleigh is in fifth grade and participates in basketball, softball, and math bowl.  Troy is in fourth grade and participates in football, basketball, wrestling, and baseball.  Tiana is in third grade and participates in basketball, wrestling, and softball.  Teagan is in second grade and participates in softball,” stated Mrs. Record.

The impact Angela Record has made in just a short period of time has certainly not gone unnoticed. “Mrs. Record has come in as a first year teacher and has been a perfect fit with the first grade team.  She has a love for her students and for WWES.  She is going to be a huge asset to WWES,” said WWES Principal, Tom Rosenbaum.

Angela graduated from IUS in 2013 with a degree in elementary education. She is off to a great first year and is very excited for her future as a teacher at West Washington. “My favorite part about working in education is being around students daily and helping them achieve new goals,” mentioned Mrs. Record.
